StockPulse is built for Kenyan SMEs — retailers, distributors, wholesalers, hardware stores, pharmacies, and service businesses that need to track inventory, manage sales, and understand their finances.
Do I need to install anything?
No. StockPulse is 100% cloud-based. You access it from any browser — desktop, phone, or tablet. No installation required. For POS receipt printing, you just need a standard 80mm thermal printer connected to your device.
Does StockPulse work as a POS system?
Yes. StockPulse includes a built-in point-of-sale mode for quick walk-in sales. It generates 80mm thermal receipts with full VAT breakdown (net amount, VAT, total), amount tendered, change, and served-by details. You can print after every sale and reprint any receipt from reports.
Can I manage deliveries?
Yes. StockPulse includes delivery zone management, dispatch tracking, delivery fee calculation (flat or percentage), and real-time status updates. Track deliveries from dispatch through to delivery or return.
How do broker commissions work?
StockPulse supports a broker spread model for businesses that use independent agents. The broker knows your listed price and can negotiate any higher price with the customer. The customer pays the full amount to your shop — you keep the listed price, and the entire markup above it is credited to the broker. This is tracked automatically on every invoice when the broker is selected as the salesperson.
Do you have a referral or affiliate program?
Yes! Existing customers on paid plans can refer other businesses and earn up to 3 months of free subscription credit. External affiliates earn 25% commission on the first 3 payments from every referral. Visit our affiliate page to learn more.
Can I import my existing data from Zoho, QuickBooks, or other platforms?
Yes. StockPulse has a built-in Data Import hub that supports 6 data types: customers, suppliers, products, invoices, quotes, and expenses. Export from your current platform as CSV or Excel, upload to StockPulse, and our wizard auto-detects your columns, validates every row, and imports in bulk. It works with exports from Zoho, QuickBooks, Wave, and any platform that exports CSV.
What is assisted onboarding?
All paid plans include hands-on setup support from our team. We help you import your product catalog, configure your account settings, set up team roles, and train your staff. You don't have to figure it out alone.
How does the free trial work?
You get 14 days free on the Business plan with no credit card required. At the end of the trial, choose a plan to continue or cancel — no charge.
What billing options are available?
We offer monthly, quarterly (~7% savings), and annual (~17% savings — like getting 2 months free) billing. You can switch between cycles at any time. We accept M-Pesa, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security — your data is completely isolated from every other business on the platform.
Do you support eTIMS (KRA)?
Yes. All paid plans support external eTIMS — attach KRA invoice numbers manually on each invoice. Business and Enterprise plans also include integrated OSCU submission, where invoices are automatically sent to KRA when finalized.
Can a customer pay with multiple methods?
Yes. StockPulse supports split payments — a customer can pay part cash and part M-Pesa (or any combination of payment methods) on a single sale. This works in both the invoice payment form and the Quick Sale POS terminal. Each method is tracked separately in your finance ledger for accurate reconciliation.
How do returns and swaps work?
You can configure a return policy per business in Settings: Full Returns (credit, swap, or cash refund), Swap Only, or No Returns. When a credit note is approved, stock is automatically returned to the branch or warehouse. Refunds create a cash outflow entry, while swaps and credits stay on the customer's account for future purchases.
Can I request stock from another branch?
Yes. Use Stock Requests under Inventory to request items from another branch. The source branch receives a notification and can approve or deny the request. Approved requests automatically create a stock transfer and move the items — no manual transfer needed.
