Manage your business from WhatsApp — check sales, stock, expenses, and more
Chat with your business. Link your WhatsApp number and ask questions in plain language. The AI assistant reads your StockPulse data and responds instantly — no need to open the app.
How It Works
The WhatsApp AI Assistant connects your StockPulse account to WhatsApp. Once your phone number is linked, you can send messages like "How were sales today?" or "What stock do I have for cement?" and get real answers pulled directly from your business data.
The assistant understands natural language — you don't need to memorize commands. Just ask in English or Swahili the way you would ask a colleague.
Linking Your Phone
Before you can use the assistant, you need to link your WhatsApp number to your StockPulse account.

Open WhatsApp Settings
Go to Settings → WhatsApp in your StockPulse dashboard.

Enter Your Phone Number
Type your WhatsApp number in international format (e.g., +254 712 345678). This must be the number you use on WhatsApp.

Verify with OTP
You’ll receive a one-time verification code via WhatsApp. Enter it in the app to confirm ownership.

Start Chatting
Once verified, send any message to the StockPulse WhatsApp number and the assistant will respond with your business data.
One link per user. Each StockPulse user can link one WhatsApp number. If you change your number, unlink the old one first in Settings > WhatsApp, then link the new one.
What You Can Ask
The assistant has access to these capabilities:

| Record Payment | Marks invoices as paid via cash, M-Pesa, or bank transfer with confirmation |
| Top Selling Products | Products ranked by revenue for any period |
| Stock by Warehouse | Stock levels for a product per warehouse or branch |
| Recent Expenses | Your latest expenses with amounts and categories |

Managing Multiple Businesses
If your phone is linked to more than one business:
- Type "switch" to see all linked businesses
- Type "switch to [business name]" to change context
- The active business is marked with a checkmark
Context is persistent. Once you switch to a business, all subsequent queries run against that business until you switch again.

Weekly Digest
Every Monday at 7:00 AM (EAT), all users with a linked WhatsApp number receive a weekly business summary. No action needed — it arrives automatically.
The digest includes:
- Total revenue and expense figures for the past week
- Top 5 selling products by revenue
- Products approaching stockout (restock warnings)
- Outstanding receivables summary (who owes you)
- Week-over-week comparison

Predictive Restock Alerts
Every day at 8:00 AM (EAT), StockPulse analyses your sales velocity over the past 30 days and predicts which products will run out soon. If a product is on track to hit zero within 7 days, you get an alert via WhatsApp and an in-app notification.
How it works:
- Calculates average daily sales per product from the last 30 days
- Divides current stock by daily sales rate to estimate days remaining
- Alerts you for any product with fewer than 7 days of stock left
- Also triggers an in-app notification visible from the notification bell
Proactive, not reactive. Restock alerts warn you before products run out — so you can place orders in time and never lose a sale to an empty shelf.
Usage Limits
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of WhatsApp messages. One message means one question you send — the assistant's reply does not count against your limit.
Message counters reset on the 1st of every month. You can check your remaining messages in Settings > WhatsApp.
Requirements
- Active StockPulse account: You must have a verified account with an active subscription or trial
- Linked phone number: Your WhatsApp number must be linked and verified in Settings > WhatsApp
- WhatsApp: Any version of WhatsApp (regular or Business) on your phone
- Internet connection: WhatsApp messages require an internet connection on your phone
Data privacy: The assistant only accesses data from your own tenant. It cannot see other businesses' information. All messages are processed securely and stored for conversation context only.
